Captions / Timed Text

Timed Text captions are required for all content, including non-verbal content.

Note:

• Burned-in captions will not be accepted. Captions must be in a separate file.
• No Caption segments
• No Caption Segments > 24 characters per second.

Preferred Format:

• SRT (SubRip Text) files with a .srt file extension.

Closed Captions

• SRT (SubRip Text) files with a .srt file extension.
• SMPTE-TT (RP-2052) with a .xml extension
• DFXP Full / TTML (Timed Text Markup Language) with a .dfxp file extension.
• iTT (iTunes Timed Text) files with a .iTT file extension.
• SCC (Scenarist Closed Caption) with a .scc file extension.
• EBU-TT with a .xml file extension.

Subtitles

• DFXP Full / TTML (Timed Text Markup Language) with a .dfxp file extension.
• iTT (iTunes Timed Text) files with a .iTT file extension.
• SRT (SubRip Text) files with a .srt file extension.
• STL / EBU-STL (European Broadcast Union Subtitle) files with a .stl file extension.
